Dive into the magical world of melting glass!

With the bead making courses at GlassFlemming, you will be able to make your own
unique glass beads and explore lampworking tradition dating back hundreds of years.

No previous experience is required. Our course range suits everyone from complete beginners to those with extended
lampworking experience.

In GlassFlemming’s courses you will learn to make glass beads from genuine
Murano glass. The basic course will allow you to make stunning, unique beads for
necklaces, earrings or key chains.

Glass beads are made using the lampworking technique by melting glass in a hot
gas flame. You’ll be introduced to the basics of lampworking and receive individual
guidance according to your needs in different design and decoration techniques.
A glass bead course is an exciting and different way to get in touch with your
creative side. Join for a calming and meditative experience where everything else is
forgotten for a moment!

All materials and equipment are provided – Just turn up ready to relax and enjoy the
world of molten glass. A wide range of colors, tools and jewelry supplies are
arranged by GlassFlemming.

My workshop is located at Hiukanpiha with parking spots right in front of the building
and good transport connections through the city center with the busses 11 and 40.

Special Decorations

Upon request, beads can also be decorated with gold or silver leaf — delicate, thin sheets of precious metal — for an additional decorative element.

Annealing & Finishing

Once your beads have been made, they are placed in a kiln for approximately 4 hours of annealing.

This controlled cooling process allows the glass to cool slowly and evenly, helping to prevent stress fractures and ensuring that your beads are properly finished.

Once your beads are ready, you have two options:

Option 1 — Finish Your Own Beads

Return for a second session where you will learn how to clean and finish your beads and turn them into jewellery, with guidance and assistance from GlassFlemming.

Any additional materials used during this session will be charged separately.

Option 2 — Shipping-After-You Package — €20

Prefer to have everything taken care of for you?

With the €20 shipping-after-you package, your beads will be cleaned, turned into keychains and shipped to the address you provide.
